Women of the World

Finally. I finished reading a book. A story book. Pure fiction. With a difference.

It's a story about a relationship (what else?) but the difference is that the story is about a relationship after the marriage. Whereas the usual romance novel is a narration of relationship before marriage. Very often it stops at marriage and expect it to be happily-ever-after ending.

Quite an interesting book actually.

What I like is that it displays the character of a strong woman, going through the ups and downs and at times challenges in her marriage life. How she went through the most difficult time in her life against all odd and later how she walked out of an easy life to pursue her own happiness.

I do believe that women are the lucky ones. Why I said so is because women can be happy AND contented. Because women use their brains AND their hearts. Usually. Problem only occurs when a woman becomes too emotional and have difficulty to think straight.

(time out: Whereas men, more often than not, would use their brains more than anything else. Hence that is why we are encouraged to get married as we compliment each other and become whole as husband and wife).

Most women are fiercely loyal to their partner and would stand by him through thick and thin. But of course there is so much that one can take. And then, it takes a really strong woman to take the big step to up and leave when it gets too much to handle. And usually this is realy really the last resort.

Women are survivors. We will bounce back in no time after a fall. Yeah, ok. Sometimes we need a little help from friends. Sometimes after a good cry. Or a lot of good cries. But sooner or later its forward and beyond. Its the only way to go.

So my dear friend, it may not be something that you expected to happen (we are all just as shock with the news), but we know that you will be ok. Pastinya ada hikmah di sebaliknya.

One day, we will be able to talk about all this in the past tense and laugh about it. And say, "I am glad that it happened!"

But rest assure, we are here with you. We will stand by you!
