AS I LOOK OUT THE WINDOW...

CNY holiday week has always been the family getaway time. Simply because its the most convenient time for a holiday trip as it coincides with university semester break and the long public holiday means less annual leave will be utilised.

After much deliberation this year we have decided to make it a local destination and chose to spend time in Penang and do what the foreign tourists would do. So we took a flight and rent a car and booked ourselves in a hotel by the beach.

The weather was good, not too hot, with lots of white cloud in the sky. The weather forecast indicated that there may be scattered shower later on in the day. And the next 3 days promise to be cool and cloudy too. That is a blessing indeed.

As I gazed outside the window on the way to the hotel from the airport this morning, putting on a tourist hat and shoes, I marvelled at the view of the green mountain with mist floating and gently rising towards the sky. They may be the cause of the scattered shower later on but at that moment they made a pretty sight. I didn't bother to take a photo as I know that this is one of those scene that is not easily captured on camera. Its one of God's amazing creations that's better captured with heart and emotion. At least thats what I feel.

And now as I sit by the window overlooking the sea, I feel content doing nothing. Except watching the world go by. The foreign tourists are lazing by the pool or sunbathing on the deck chairs under the trees by the sea side. Well, that is one thing I am not going to do. I have to take off the tourist hat and shoes  when it comes to being under the sun before 5 pm. He he. But I got myself a good book to read and plan to be under one of those trees later on when its a little bit cooler.

Ok now. Lets hit some of the tourist site before we go down the beach, shall we...?

Enjoy the long week end everyone!
