What triggers your memory when you hear about this city? For me, its the classic movie named Cassabanca! 😁
We arrived at dawn and made our way to the famous city right after we cleared the airport. Which was like an hour later. And we had to wait outside for almost another hour for the transport but we were happily waiting while stretching our legs and take in the fresh morning air. Everyone excited and eager to the new adventure.
The first thing that caught my eyes as the bus made its way to the city were the entance to the houses. Most would have fascinating doorways like the one picture below.
Sometime later we had seafood lunch in a pretty restaurant by the sea. As our first meal of the trip, we thorougly enjoyed the luxury and abundance of the food as well as the marvelous ambiance.
We were given sometime to take a short walk by the pier and there I was introduced to the man who "owns" the country. And throughout the rest of the trip, we get to see his picture like almost every where we go. The people seems to have high regard and deep respect to their King.
Later on we had the opportunity to pray in this magnificient mosque which is the second biggest mosque in the world according to the tour agent. I felt truly blessed ❤️
Thereafter we made our way to Marakech, where we stayed for a couple of nights. The detail will be in the next posting.
Travel date: 3 February 2016
