Bridges in our Life

I found this quote among a list of 20 Important LIFE LESSONS that will drastically Improve your life!
- One of the hardest lessons in life to learn is figuring out which bridges to cross and which to burn.

Hah! We all know that! The problem is how the heck do we figure out which bridge to cross and which one to burn? If you expect me to to tell you then you will be disappointed. For I don't have the answer either! Ha ha ha...

Seriously, every single person has her own objective and perspective. Your own life aspiration, your own ambition. As the saying goes, one man's meat is another man's poison. Hence, no one can tell another how or where to go or what to do. The only thing that can be done is to tell her the options and the possibilities of each options. And even the possibilities that we described is based on our own personal opinion, our own perspective and our experience. Which may differ from others. Therefore, if it is a big decision to be made, it would be better to seek a second or even third opinion.

But I don't advice that you go and ask every single person you know and talk about this problem you have. Not only it makes you the most boring person on earth, your friends will get tired of you talking about the same subject and yet to make the decision. Just ask a few people whom you trust and believe would care for your well being.

Which reminds me of a colleague of mine many years ago. She had a problem with her marriage and she would talked about it to everybody over and over again. Me included. I just listened and did not provide any feedback or suggestions. I was new in the field of love and marriage at that time anyway. I wonder if she is still in the relationship.

Well anyway, the best thing to do in any situation is always to turn to our Maker. After all, He has the BIG plan. So, if you have not come to a decision, or better still before you make any decision, do a solat istikharah. You will be guided to the right one. InsyaAllah.

P.S. Thanks Nad for sharing in your blog.
P.P.S. Some lovely bridges found in Venice.
